Private Vaccinations

Non-travel vaccinations

Jura Health provides a range of vaccinations against diseases that are common in the UK. Some of these vaccinations are available as part of the NHS childhood vaccination scheme, but should you wish to have these administered privately, we are able to do so.

Other vaccinations are not available on the NHS, or are only available on the NHS to certain individuals, often based on age. As a private vaccination clinic, we are able to provide vaccinations to you regardless of your eligibility through the NHS.

Available vaccines

- Varicella (Chicken Pox)

- Measles, Mumps and Rubella combined

- HPV

- Meningitis B

- Seasonal Flu

- Hepatitis B

- Hepatitis B antigen testing

- Diphtheria, Tetanus and Polio combined

- Meningitis ACWY

We also screen for immunity to Tuberculosis (TB) using the Mantoux test, and can vaccinate against TB if required

Single vaccines against Measles, Mumps and Rubella

Jura Health do not provide single vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella. We follow strict UK government and NHS guidelines on the provision of vaccines and only ever use vaccines that are approved and licensed in the UK. There are no licensed single vaccines for measles, mumps and rubella in the UK and as such, they are not quality checked or monitored in the way that licensed vaccines are. The World Health Organization and every other global independent expert group recommends the use of MMR as the safest and most effective vaccine against these three diseases. None of these groups recommend single vaccines.

Fully qualified nurses and highly competitive prices

Our vaccination clinics are run by fully qualified and registered nurses who specialise in vaccinations. Our prices are extremely competitive when compared against other vaccination clinics in central Scotland.

Jura Health runs a fully licensed vaccination clinic in Perth, and so are conveniently placed for local communities as well as Stirling, Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews.

Full medical assessment prior to vaccination

Before administering vaccinations we will ask you a number of questions about your medical history, family medical history, any current conditions or medications that you are taking and any immunisations that you have received previously. We will use this information to determine whether vaccinations are suitable for you. All medical information supplied to Jura Health is treated in the strictest confidence.
